Feasibility Study of Various Geophysical Methods in Monitoring Water Flow in an Artificial Aquifer Storage and Recover (ASR) System

This is a new research consortium formed in 2006 at the Colorado School of Mines. The mandate is to study the feasibility of various geophysical methods and to develop methodology for monitoring the Aquifer Storage and Recover (ASR) problem. The goal of this research apply geophysics in the monitoring of both natural and artificial ASR systems and develop the necessary tools and methods to model water flow within the systems to help hydrologists better understand flow in the subsurface.

This is a collaborative project undertaken with the University of British Columbia Geophysical Inversion Facility.
