CGEM Application

The CGEM Application is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for parameterizing, executing, and viewing the results from the potential-field processing and inversion programs developed at the Center for Gravity, Electrical & Magnetic Studies.

The program packages supported in this GUI are:

  1. GG3D: A program library for carrying out forward modeling and inversion of multicomponent gravity gradient data from airborne and ground surveys in three dimensions. These programs were developed at the CGEM by Yaoguo Li.
  2. EEDECON: A program library for carrying depth estimation from magnetic and gravity data using Hilbert transform-based extended Euler deconvolution. These programs were developed at the CGEM by Misac Nabighian, Marc Pessel, and Yaoguo Li.

The following shows an example of the GUI for GG3D:

Views of the gridded input data are available

Each window can be expanded to view that component of the data in detail

The following shows an example view of the EEDECON GUI:

A number of views of the input, intermediate and output data are available for EEDECON

The user can view of the input GXF (Grid eXchange Format) data

The user can view the depth of the output solutions, where they exist

The user can view a histogram of any output

The user can view any the intermediate grids

As with GG3D, each window can be expanded to view that component of the data in detail

The manual/documentation (draft) for 'CGEM Application' software package is available for download.
